Television New Zealand | Kindergarten teachers have parity
New Zealand-- Kindergarten teachers on Saturday gain pay parity with their primary and secondary school colleagues.
Under a deal negotiated in 2002, the teachers will now receive the last of a series of pay increases, bringing their salaries into line with others.
Pay parity for kindergarten teachers was first raised publicly more than 30 years ago during International Women's year.
