Schools in revolt over under-5s curriculum - Times Online

Perhaps they have a point here. What makes independent schools "independent", after all, if not their curriculum? And is there evidence that micromanagement of the minis -- and their teachers -- with goals-as-aspirations (but not as targets) will lead to benefits to children in the independent sector?
